Alyssa Bouthot - Broker

Alyssa Bouthot

I’m happy to live so close to family, longtime friends, and the beautiful coastline of Maine. I grew up in Saco and returned to Maine after receiving an Education degree from Connecticut College in 2011. One thing led to another, and within my first year home I was pursuing a unique career path that has led me to where I am today. In addition to starting my real estate career in 2011, I spent the next decade serving as Operations Manager for a boutique hospitality company with properties across Maine and as a Project Manager for a construction and interior design firm based out of Portland. I am grateful for all of the lessons learned in these various fields because they have broadened my skills to make me a successful broker today.

I value giving back to my community in equal importance to building my own career. I currently serve on the Board of Directors for Treehouse Institute, the hosting partner for the annual TEDxDirigo event in Portland, as well as the Planning Board and Historic Preservation Commission for the City of Saco. Throughout the years I have also enjoyed time spent with the Portland Global Shapers Hub, a nonprofit group formed by the World Economic Forum, and a season as a Girls on the Run coach at a local elementary school. During my free time I enjoy running, spinning, hot yoga, gardening, reading, and spending as much time as possible outdoors with my energetic rescue dog, Jack.

What do you love most about real estate?

“ I love that real estate is just as much about the people as it is about the houses. I love getting to know my clients during a transaction and staying in touch as friends long after they are settled into their new home. No two days are ever the same, and there are plenty of challenges along the way to a closing. I love working through possible solutions and learning new strategies each day that will benefit future clients down the road. ”

"On a whim, my husband and I decided we wanted to take the leap and purchase our first home. We didn’t know what to expect and didn’t really know what we were looking for. Upon meeting Alyssa Bouthout, we were certain our anxieties would be calmed. Alyssa took us through the intricacies of the process as first time home buyers. She combed through details of house disclosures to ensure our understanding. Alyssa coached us through a process to refine what we were looking for in our first home. Also, unbeknownst to us, everyone was buying that season. The market was competitive and we found ourselves in not one, but two multi-offer situations. With Alyssa’s guidance, we maneuvered effortlessly, and purchased a house with which we’re in love! I have and continue to refer family and friends to Alyssa for their real estate needs, and look forward to working with Alyssa again should we have a need!" -Chanel L., Westbrook

"Alyssa sold my first home in Westbrook (at full ask!) and helped me purchase my new house in Scarborough immediately after. The home-buying process was made simpler with her help and she went above and beyond at every opportunity. She could always be reached easily and responded to questions quickly. She knows various markets extremely well and was able to provide solid recommendations for mortgage brokers, home inspectors, and other services in the area." - Lauren M., Scarborough
